EGXI has a worldwide Exclusive License Agreement with the University of Florida for the comprehensive Trypsin Modulating Oostatic Factor (TMOF) intellectual property (15 patents) and biological materials necessary for producing products based on the TMOF technology. In addition, EGXI has exclusive rights to the EPA Registration Studies and related materials as well as the know-how to produce the TMOF_yeast products and the studies establishing the biological activity of the BioProtection repellent known as EGX-101.

The Company has exclusive rights to TMOF_yeast production, marketing and research and development in Malaysia through a Sublicense Agreement with an option to expand to other territories. The Company also has an Agreement to Cite the EPA Registration Studies in the territory of its Sublicense Agreement. EGXI has agreed to provide the Company with all know-how to be able to produce the TMOF_yeast.

The Company is also in advanced discussions for an Agreement to utilize the EGX-101 BioProtection repellent technology. This is expected to be completed in the near future.

The Company is a recipient of the MOSTI TechnoFund grant with 5 set milestones. After 6 months of operation, 2.5 of the milestones have been achieved, including mobilization of operations, formulation, testing and delivery of the mosquito repellent product, and first country registration for the TMOF_yeast mosquito larvicide and EGX-101 insect repellent products (Malaysia). Fermentation studies for pilot plant scale production of TMOF_yeast have recently been initiated in association with the Chemical Engineering Pilot Plant at University Technology Malaysia (Johor Baru).

The TMOF_yeast product has been given the name “MOSTIcide” under which it will be commercialized and marketed.

The Company has recently been granted BioNexus Status from the Biotechnology Corporation.

The Company participated in the BioMalaysia 2008 Conference with Professor Borovsky, discoverer of the TMOF technology and Chief Scientific Advisor to the Company, presented the first Plenary Address: "TMOF: A New Insecticide Against Mosquitoes and Agricultural Pest Insects". The Company also received an award for its innovative booth design at BioMalaysia 2008.

The Company’s public outreach program has commenced. Examples include Y.A.M. Tunku Naquiyuddin’s hosting of a luncheon for selected members of the biotechnology community in Malaysia where Professor Borovsky provided an overview of the TMOF technology and its applications in mosquito control and agriculture. Dr. Brandt presented a lecture on the importance of Dengue control and the Company’s tools to the First International Conference on Biotechnology for the Wellness Industry in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Directors

The Company is led by Chairman, Y.A.M. Tunku Naquiyuddin ibni Tuanku Ja’afar. A former diplomat, he is presently the Chairman of Sino Hua - an International Berhad (the first Malaysian cross border China listing) which was listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange on 26th March 2007. He serves on the Board of other public companies such as Kian Joo Can Factory Bhd. and Global Gold Holdings Ltd. in Australia. Tunku Naquiyuddin is a keen environmentalist and was a Committee Member of the World Wide Fund for Nature (Malaysia). Tunku Naquiyuddin is Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and is the Royal Fellow of the Institute for Environmentally Sustainable Development (LESTARI) at UKM.

Dr. Alan Brandt, founder and Director of Technology & Innovation. He has extensive international experience with TMOF having managed its development as a mosquito larvicide, successful registration with the US Environmental Protection Agency, TMOF patent portfolio and negotiating Term Sheet and Exclusive License Agreements with the University of Florida.

Dr. Neil Ranaweera, founder and Director Science and Business. Dr. Ranaweera has extensive experience in corporate development having held senior positions in Wattie Group (NZ) and subsequently as a director of Cold Storage Group, Singapore. In addition he served as the Managing Director of Wattie Food Services Group with operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, overseeing a staff of over 7,000.

Mr. Marcus Francis, founder and Director for Malaysian Operations. Mr. Francis has extensive practical experience in product marketing and business development in Malaysia.

Yazdi Jehangir Bankwala

Yazdi Jehangir Bankwala is currently the principal consultant at Arpitha Associates in Singapore and Arpitha Associates Malaysia Sdn Bhd. He has been involved in this field in the region since 1995 during which time he has conducted training programs and provided consultancy for organisation in the areas of “Transformation, Emotional Intelligence, Values and Change”. Yazdi, decided in 1997 to follow his passion to promote values at work and brings over 20 years of work experience and research. He has been personally trained and understudied the pioneering work on Values Clarification by Dr J M Sampath, whom he has assisted and co-facilitated with since 1997.

Basically a law graduate, Yazdi completed his Marketing and Business studies in the United Kingdom. A major part of his experience has been with an international bank in London where he gained valuable international exposure working with people from a variety of cultures. He was past President of Lions Club of Singapore Hill View,(2003-2004) an International social service organization and a cofounder of Centre for Promoting Human Values, Singapore.
