Step-by-step renewing hope for dengue & malaria problems
Active Ingredients
TMOF™
TMOF™, a small mosquito-derived peptide expressed within Pichia pastoris yeast cells forms the basis for the end use product with immediate applications as a mosquito larvicide. TMOF™ larvicide is non-toxic to nontargets, biodegradable, no insect resistance problems, environment friendly and has been registered with the EPA.
While TMOF_Yeast is highly effective in its own right, it is mutually synergistic with Bti, displaying up to 100-fold increase in efficacy. TMOF™, combined with Bti and methoprene, has the potential to affect all stages of mosquito larvae, yielding a complete solution for larval control. This will allow the MOUSTIcide™ biolarvicide products easy market entry, initially supplementing and eventually supplanting the existing products.

TMOF™ won the USDA Silver Plow Award in 1999
EGX-101™
EGX-101™ is a patent-pending natural pest repellent technology based on ingredients which can be found naturally in wild tomato. It provides highly effective repellency against a broad spectrum of pests including mosquito, fly, cockroaches, ants, and other household insects with up to 8 hours repellency effect. It complements the biolarvicide as a tool to combat mosquito-borne diseases. EGX-101™ has been independently tested by the Professional Laboratory and Research Services Inc, Virginia, USA and has shown superior repellency compared to DEET and Citronella oil. This makes EGX-101™ a natural and safer alternative to DEET in the insect repellent market. DEET, available for over 50 years as the primary repellent product, is corrosive, odiferous, and perceived to be toxic. Biorepellent lotion based on EGX-101™ is currently used by institutions such as the military and National Service trainees in Malaysia. It is also an adjunct product in the "Stop Dengue" program.
AquaBac™
AQUABAC is a microbial larvicide containing Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (Bti or Bt H-14), a naturally occurring soil bacterium that produces protein toxins (insecticidal crystal protein - ICP) and a spore. The insecticidal activity of AQUABAC formulations and all Bti formulations is due to the presence of the protein toxins. The spore has no effect on the larvicide activity. AQUABAC formulations are unique and specifically manufactured to enhance larvicidal effects of the protein toxin and to ensure the toxin's biological stability.
The potency of AQUABAC is controlled within specific limits using a bioassay procedure based on toxicity to larvae of Aedes aegypti. Quality control bioassays are conducted prior to release of each lot product. Other laboratories conduct analyses on each lot to assure there are no microbial contaminants present in the formulations. AQUABAC in combination with the TMOF™ active ingredient results in a synergistic action and increased potency in MOUSTICIDE.
